Busy busy week

I haven't made anything for the shop this week, I have been getting things done around the house, we had a mountain of laundry and I also needed to get some soft furnishings I had been promising done, while also preparing for my son's 10th birthday (where does the time go?). I have all the notions to work on the cupped corest I'm planning, and I'm going to try and draft an underwired bra pattern for me at first but then maybe I'll put some in the shop.
I also discovered this blog http://www.patternschool.com/ which is full of resources if you have an interest in pattern drafting and underwear, swimwear or dancewear.

Anyway, here's this weekend's makes

More cushions for my new settee

The design in a fibonacci spiral, I embroidered in the squares in very thin sparkly thread

It was my first attempt at bobbin embroidery, as you can see the yarn on the spirals went wiggly - I'm not sure why (maybe the lack of tension) but I think it looks nice. It was laceweight knitting yarn.

Also for my settee I made my first quilt (not in a weekend!! It had been a WIP for a while!)

I hand embroidered the centre square in the same yarn I used for the cushions - I quite like the littel tatto themed heart, I might put something similar on a garment.
