I've been quiet for a while

I have been busy, busy, busy! Partly with work stuff but quite a lot with sewing to do with EXCITING NEWS!!!! The exciting news is that Sew Hip! magazine have asked me to do a tutorial for a dress like the blue shift dress on my etsy and folksy shops!! I jumped at the chance, and when I was up at my mum's for Christmas I got lots of fabric for the dress, and for other stuff for the shop. Then I had to grade the pattern to size 8-20. This wasn't too difficult, actually, the difficult part is getting the pattern into a digital format. This involved cutting and scanning and then neatening the lines, it was quite onerous but there was a lot of trial and error involved. I also had to make the dress in a size 10 for the model, and write instructions. I found writing the instructions a bit tricky because it's stuff I do without really thinking. Anyway, I am nearly done, then I can post everything off to them. Watch this space for more details about what issue it will be in!
