A little bit of menswear

Sorry for the long gap since the last post, unfortunately my Grandma fell ill, and after a few weeks in hospital died. That alongside lots of other distractions mean that I haven't updated for ages (and no, I haven't started the Chanel Jacket tutorials either). I have been doing a bit of sewing, I sent some more accessories up to Fabric-ation in Leeds, they are having a shopping and mince pies evening this week so hopefully that will be a success, if you are in the Leeds area and want to go you can book at http://fabrication.eventbrite.com/ I have also been sewing a waistcoat for my partner's dad. He is a big waistcoat fan, and when his wife gave me a load of sari fabric she also gave me an embroidered woollen stole which she said he would like a waistcoat out of. I borrowed one of his existing waistcoats to draft a pattern from. I am pleased with the welt pockets, the bound buttonholes aren't bad although i could do with practise. It was all a lot more work than making a simple shift! Here is the waistcoat
I hope he likes it!!
