All change at the Etsy Shop
If you go into my etsy shop, you will see a couple of changes.
One, I'm afraid, is price rises. I made a custom corset and realised I wasn't making anything like minimum wage. And I don't want to be that person who undercuts everyone else because sewing is fun! A well made custom garment is something to be valued, and I think that people who make those garments should value their time, including me.
The other, more exciting news is a whole bunch of custom listings.
Just saying "I do custom stuff, convo me" doesn't really work, so I've put some of my finished garments in sale as samples, then added custom listings so there are obvious options. I will still create whatever is in your head, but if you are not sure hopefully the custom listings will give some inspiration.
Coming soon-ish will be some more custom options involving organic cotton and natural dyeing - I'll let you know when I have pics!
Hello! I just found your blog from another sewist who followed your Chanel jacket tutorials (she's working on her's now and added a link to your intro post). Hope you don't mind me linking to you, I've been wanting to make a Chanel jacket for years and your tutorial looks great. I've also got the old Threads mag with Susan Khalje's article, and thought it looked pretty good too. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOf course I don't mind your linking :D
DeleteJust looked at your blog - I love the mohawk hat, if only my son wasn't so anti-hat!
I would love to see pics of your jacket when you are done xxx
