I have been asked to better explain how I made the beanbag for my son that I posted the other week. It's easier to show than to tell so I've made a miniature humbug/tetrahedron to show you.
start with a piece of fabric twice as long as it is wide.
Sew the short ends together
Press to mark the point directly opposite the seam. Mark this with a pin.
On one end sew the beanbag shut with the seam at one corner, and the pin at the other corner
On the other seam, bring the pin and the first seam together
Sew this seam leaving a gap for turning and filling
Turn the right side out, stuff and hand sew the gap shut
I have overstuffed the mini beanbag (with raw rice) so you can see the shape. A tiny one like that would make a good juggling ball, but if you want a beanbag for sitting I like there to be a lot of "squish" so I don't overfill. For the actual beanbag I made a lining bag as per above, and the outer bag had a zip in the first seam so I can take it off for washing.
I hope this helps!
